世界上最遙遠的距離詩句，作者說法較多，一說出自張小嫻的小說《荷包裡的單人床》，另一說出自印度著名詩人泰戈爾詩集《飛鳥集》，但《飛鳥集》中並未收錄近似詩句，大抵是因為其中一個版本最後一句中有 “世界上最遙遠的距離是飛鳥與魚的距離”，被一些人認為是泰戈爾所創作，但到目前為止沒有客觀證據說明泰戈爾創作過類似詩句。
原句為：“世界上最遙遠的距離，不是生與死的距離，不是天各一方，而是，我就站在你的面前，你卻不知道我愛你”，該句可在張小嫻作品《荷包裡的單人床》中找到。“世界上最遙遠的距離”此句詩現在版本較多，多為網友創作。
