11. 辨析receive; accept

receive的意思是“收到了……”，只表示收到某物，並不表明同意或不同意接受的含義。例如：

I received a gift from her, but I returned it back to her this morning.

accept表示“接受……”，“同意接納……”。如接受物體、邀請、批評等，反義詞為refuse。

He received an invitation from her and accepted it happily.

12. 辨析win；beat

win表“贏”， 後面接的不是被打敗的對手，而是比賽本身、遊戲、戰爭、名次、獎品等。例如：

beat表示“贏”或“打敗”，後面要接被打敗的對手。例如：

Our football team beat theirs by 3 to 1.。

兩者都指“由…製成”，be made of 看得出原料；be made from看不出原料

它們都可表“希望”，它們後都可以接動詞不定式和賓語從句。

wish接的賓語從句常用過去時態表難以實現的願望，wish可以接雙賓語。

hope接的賓語從句常用將來時態，一般表示能夠實現的希望，hope 不能接雙賓語。

15. 辨析sound；listen；hear

sound 表“聽起來”是系動詞，常接形容詞作表語。
