被譽為“攝影偉人”的羅伯特卡帕（（Robert Capa，1913—1954）在中國的新聞通行證。中文名賈白。1938年2月27日，經蔣夫人宋美齡下令，由外交部情報司簽發。當時他是唯一在中國戰區採訪的盟軍戰地記者，此年于山東臺兒莊、湖北漢口、廣州等地拍攝了大量珍貴照片。出於安全考慮，卡帕沒有被允許拍攝戰爭場面，但還是以他的敏銳，拍攝下了這一時期中國的軍人、領袖、平民百姓……這些照片現存紐約國際攝影中心。本文介紹的絕版黑皮書《羅伯特·卡帕》，收錄了卡帕在中國武漢、漢口、徐州、鄭州等地拍攝的5幅照片（圖22、23、24、25、26），在這本總共69張照片的攝影書中已經是極大的比例。

羅伯特·卡帕（Robert Capa，1913—1954），匈牙利裔美國籍攝影記者，20世紀最偉大的戰地攝影記者，不需要之一。

卡帕原名安德魯·弗裡德曼（André Friedmann），生於奧匈帝國時期的布達佩斯的一個猶太家庭。最初他的理想是當一名作家，後來喜歡上了攝影。由於納粹的排猶，1933年卡帕移居法國，從此以女友給他起的名字羅伯特·卡帕發表攝影作品。cápa是匈牙利詞彙，意思是鯊魚。

卡帕的作品幾乎就是瞬間本身，即使失焦模糊也在所不惜。他的作品通過瞬間的聚焦與失焦真實再現了戰爭的殘酷，這突出表現在他的一系列名作中，《戰士之死》（1936年），《諾曼底登陸》（1944年）等。1947年，卡帕和佈列鬆等友人一同創立了瑪格南圖片社，成為全球第一家自由攝影師的協作組織。至今這種攝影的直接性力量和精神在全世界依然有著廣泛的影響力。他也曾深刻地影響了現代攝影的走向，例如深刻地影響了威廉·克萊因。

卡帕參與報道過5場發生於20世紀的主要戰爭，包括：西班牙內戰、中國抗日戰爭、第二次世界大戰歐洲戰場、第一次中東戰爭以及第一次印支戰爭。第二次世界大戰期間，卡帕跟隨美國軍隊報道了北非及意大利的軍事行動，諾曼第登陸中的奧馬哈海灘戰役以及巴黎的解放。

卡帕最輝煌的經歷莫過於1944年6月6日“D日”參與諾曼底登陸。D日當天，他成為了唯一一位隨第一批登陸部隊參加諾曼底登陸作戰的攝影記者。他攜帶2部康泰克斯2型（Contax II）相機、50mm鏡頭和數卷膠片隨軍在奧馬哈海灘搶灘。在第一次為時30分鐘的戰鬥衝鋒中，卡帕拍攝了106張底片。然而再回到倫敦的暗房沖洗時，工作人員的失誤毀掉了絕大多數底片，經過一番努力，搶救出了其中的11張。《生活》雜誌於1944年6月19日刊出了其中的10張照片，並在圖中註腳“稍微失焦”，以此解釋說由於卡帕當時過於激動導致了手部抖動，從而影響了拍攝，而卡帕本人對此卻並不承認。戰後卡帕將回憶傳記以此命名。

1954年5月25日，卡帕在越南採訪第第一次印度支那戰爭時，為了拍照誤入雷區，踩中地雷而被炸身亡，年僅41歲。美國各大晚報、電視臺、電臺和時報都進行了報道，一致讚揚他是最勇敢的戰地攝影家。羅伯特·卡帕始終在用生命拍照，他的攝影精神超越了任何藝術技巧，因此被稱為英雄，被譽為唯一的“攝影偉人”。

“如果你的照片不夠好，那是因為你離炮火不夠近。”這是卡帕最著名的名言。這一名言也被後人修正為：“如果你的照片不夠好，那是因為你離得不夠近。”如此一來得到了更廣泛的傳播。正是因為這一拍攝意識，威廉·克萊因才嘗試把相機戳到路人的臉上拍攝，從而改變了街拍攝影的歷史，現代攝影的歷史。

在一個攝影越來越藝術化、強調觀念先行的時代，卡帕、佈列鬆們的攝影讓我們返回到攝影的真實源頭。真實事無鉅細，真實正是最為鮮活的歷史，最為滾燙的生活。“攝影不是繪畫，繪畫是構圖、修飾、改變，該減的要減，該加的要加，而照相就是一下，有或沒有就是那麼一下，死了或活著就是砰的一聲。”威廉·克萊因強調砰的一聲，這顯然是來自羅伯特·卡帕的影響，卡帕說的是炮火，轟的一聲。而現在的藝術攝影，基本上都是呲的一聲。

黑皮書《羅伯特·卡帕》收錄了卡帕的諸多名作，和拍攝於法國、西班牙、墨西哥、中國、美國、意大利等地的經典作品。本次介紹的是2008年ACTES SUD版本，共69張照片，比之前推送過的版本多出6張攝影作品和1張卡帕的肖像照。倒數第二幅即卡帕犧牲前的絕作（黑白版）。照片標題使用了更詳細的英文，非書中法文標題。

“黑皮書”（Photo Poche）是世界攝影經典系列叢書，素有“攝影聖經”之稱，入選的攝影家均為攝影史各時期中最為璀璨的攝影巨匠，如亨利·卡蒂埃·佈列鬆、羅伯特·卡帕、羅伯特·杜瓦諾、約瑟夫·寇德卡等。這是一套印刷精美、便於攜帶與翻閱的袖珍攝影叢書。從1982年編輯出版至今，已經出版近200本，依然在編輯出版。
