《迷失》是當時最熱美劇，一時風光無二。編者到2008年才看，這部懸疑燒腦劇當時給還是少年的編者製造了極大的震撼，那是看《老友記》和《越獄》所不曾有的感覺。故事雖然設定在一個島上，彈丸之地，製作團隊卻雄心勃勃，鋪下一張大網，在這網上大做文章。這些飛機失事的倖存者在找尋離島方式時意外發現島上已有人類文明痕跡，但卻不知道時為什麼。島上時常還有潛伏暗處的未明生物或非生物發出古怪聲響。在他們的生存之路和對謎團的探索中，發現這個島嶼有如迷宮，謎團越解越多。編劇挖下巨坑，引人一步步入坑，可惜坑太大，最後連編劇自己都難圓其說。不過這部劇給對人性的描繪，人世間的生離死別，命運因果都有深刻闡述。

這部劇放在眾多優秀的美劇當中顯得是比較平庸的。它探討的東西並不多，主要目標就是鎖定觀眾的腎上腺素。越獄類題材，應該難再有作品能超出《肖申克的救贖》的高度了。《越獄》是很多人的美劇啟蒙劇，這部劇節奏緊張，劇情跌宕起伏，引人入勝，其塑造的角色每個都各領風騷，特別令人不忘的應該是智商超群，勇謀齊備的高材生邁克爾和超級變態男T-bag了。Michael 是優秀到極致，Teabag邪魅到極致。令人回味的，就是窩在宿舍和室友們一起喝冷飲，吃西瓜，看《越獄》的快樂日子了。
