Used 是我們在學習中經常會考到和用到的詞彙，如Used to be done, used to do等，那麼該如何正確使用Used呢？
1. 作為短語， “ something used to be done or used to be the case”, 表示過去慣常
1) People used to come and visit him every day. 過去人們每天都來看他。
2) He used to be one of my professors. 他過去是我的一個教授。
2. 作為短語，“ did not use to be done, used to not be done or used not to be done”, 表示過去不曾
1) Borrowing used to not be recommended. 借東西在過去是不提倡的。
2) At some point kids start doing things they didn't use to do. They get more independent. 從某時起孩子們開始做他們過去沒做過的事情。他們變得更獨立。
3. 作為短語， “be used to something”, 表示習慣於
例：I'm used to having my sleep interrupted. 我習慣了睡覺時被吵醒。
4. 作為短語，“ get used to something or someone”, 表示變得習慣於
1) This is how we do things here. You'll soon get used to it. 這是我們這裡的做事風格。你很快就會習慣的。
2) You quickly get used to using the brakes. 你很快會習慣用剎車。
5. 作為形容詞，表示用過的
例：...a used cotton ball stained with makeup.…一個用過的棉花球，沾著化妝品。
6. 作為形容詞，表示二手的
例：Would you buy a used car from this man? 你會向這個人買輛二手車嗎？
