條件狀語從句50

常見的連接詞語有：if, if only, in case, suppose (that), supposing (that), unless, as far as, as long as, given (that), granted (that), granting (that), once, on (the) condition (that), only if, provided (that), providing (that), so far as, so long as, so that, suppose (that), supposing (that), unless, when, where, wherever, while, in the event (that), presuming (that)等28個。

以上這些表示主從句條件關係的連接詞語——在日常英語（交際、課本、真題、模擬試題等）中出現頻率較高，各大詞典、考題也是所見例句較多，故這裡並不列舉對應實例；且因其常見，重要性不言而喻，須一個一個吃透其真意，而後應用、講解方可得心應手。

對應的方式方法不外乎是

——從英文詞典中找到對應的詞條，查看對應含義，

並逐漸地轉化成（最好是內化成——習得）自己理解的、也可隨時講述的語句，

同時對照考題（真題、模擬試題、練習題）

——尋找其考查路徑，知其然且要知其所以然。

作為師者——務必相應的內容要高於學生所知所曉，且可用聆聽者可理解、明白、領悟的語言講述，並逐漸使之理解掌握，而非僅僅成為一個傳聲筒、播放器——真要那樣的話，人工智能就可隨時取代我等——不可不覺察。

不很常見的連接詞語有：but, but that, but what, as the case may be, assuming (that), except (that), for all I/we know, in so far as, just so, on the assumption that, on/with the stipulation that, on the supposition that, on the understanding that, save that, saving that, so, with the provision that, with the proviso that, with the stipulation that, with the understanding that, without (that), only that等22個——故下面配有例句。

but除非，若非,相當於unless。

but解作unless含義“除非、若非”，不很常見。

Nothing will content him but I give up my opinion.

除非我放棄我的觀點，否則無法使他滿意。

There is nothing either good or bad, but thinking makes it so.

（諺語）人若無思想，事物也就沒有好壞之分。

but that：要不是，若非

but that，可以相當於except that（也可以解作別的含義，這裡只是講述but that引導條件從句的語義），相當於but/except for the fact that，後面所引導的是真實的情形，而對應的主句往往是虛擬語氣，當然也可使用真實的陳述語氣。

but that還常引出否定意義的非真實條件從句，這裡but that相當於but for the fact，譯作“假如沒有…”或“要不是”。
