Massive win for Qarabag last week where they netted in the 25’ to lead in this Champions League Playoff tie (0-1 Aggregate). The fact is, this promises to be much tougher in the Danish capital.
Copenhagen bounced back from that with a 3-2 win over Sonderjyske to make it four wins, three draws, and four defeats since their competitive season began back in the middle of July. This includes their elimination of Zilina and Vardar from the Champions League, and now they look to overturn a deficit to make it to the Champions League group stages for the 4th time since 2010.
The hosts have won five of their last eight home games in the Champions League and have kept a clean sheet in six of them with them knowing what damage an away goal I think keeping a clean sheet again will be near the top of their priorities.
Qarabag don’t have the same success as Copenhagen in the Champions League, in fact, they have made it to the Europa League groups in each of these past three seasons, so they aren’t devoid of European experience, but they don’t have the best of records in this one.
The Azerbaijan visitors made it two wins from two domestically last time round, however, they don’t have the best scoring record in the Champions League.
Copenhagen should have enough to break the visitors, so backing a Copenhagen win sounds fantastic today.
